Freshmen Shabbaton was a great success! Students started off the day with a special breakfast and then enjoyed bank shot basketball, batting cages, mini golf, and a driving range. They ushered in and celebrated Shabbat with dancing and tons of ruach. Throughout Shabbat students participated in discussion sessions and gained a better understanding of the meaning of friendship, compromise, and getting out of thier comfort zone through the wonderful works of Theodor Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss! WEAR IT PINK is an annual event that takes place every October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month which helps raise money for breast cancer care and research. In preparation for Pink Day sophomores Julia F. and Rachel F. decorated the lobby with sparkling pink items, and posted flyers encouraging students and faculty to wear pink as their way of showing support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Election fever is in the air! Students began their Student Government electoral process this week. With so many sixth grade candidates interested in running for office, the school had its first primaries last night. The candidates will then have the chance to create posters and speeches in preparation for election day next week, Tuesday, November 5th! Stay tuned.

The Ramaz Environmental Club teamed up with The Daffodil Project, an organization that annually plants daffodil bulbs in memory of the tragedy of 9/11. Following 9/11, a Dutch friend of a board member of New Yorkers for Parks wanted to contribute something to New York in commemoration. His initial contribution was one million daffodil bulbs to be dispersed throughout New York City. Ever since then, The Daffodil Project formed and continues planting yellow daffodils (the color of remembrance) honoring the losses of 9/11...

Our annual Ramaz Retreat was RAMAZing! Students and faculty traveled to Camp Kaylie where they enjoyed basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, volleyball, boating, go-carting, our grade vs grade vs grade game show competition, a barbecue complete with s'mores and a Lag BaOmer bonfire, building friendships and making memories...For great photos...
