Loaves of Love

Loaves of Love was conceptualized by Natan@Ramaz LS/ECC co-chair Julie Feldman and is the equivalent of a home-made, edible "hug." The program's goal is to deliver weekly a home-made challah to a Ramaz family member (student, parent, faculty, or staff) going through a life cycle event. Ultimately, we'd like to be able to give to families "just because." To date, we have delivered over 50 Loaves of Love. Our current goal is to deliver 3-6 challot every week.

Join our challah baking team! Julie, our primary "LoL" baker, bakes every week and provides 2-3 challot towards "Loaves of Love." We're looking for 2 or 3 more weekly challah bakers. We're committed to keeping this process simple and easy:

  • Thursday check-in to find out if you'll be baking and if you'll have extra challot to contribute.
  • You'll receive the name and address of a recipient. You can either deliver to their home, to their child in school, or to another Natan volunteer to distribute. We are committed to helping out with distribution; we don't want to burden our bakers!
  • We will provide beautiful packaging and labels.

We're looking forward to partnering with many of you on this new, exciting initiative.

Please email natan@ramaz.org to participate.
