Admissions Process

Ramaz welcomes families who share our goals of academic and spiritual growth for their children. Our Open House on Saturday night November 11, 2023 will be for students and parents and provide you with the opportunity to explore our Judaic and General Studies classes, meet our faculty and students, and discover exactly what makes Ramaz unique and special.

We are excited to host in-person visits to our building! Parent tours will be available starting in November.

Once we have received your application (by November 30, 2023) and $150 processing fee, we will contact you regarding your child's interviews. All admissions interviews will be held in person and include a half-day visit. Students will also be required to compose two writing samples, one English and one Hebrew, as part of their interview. If accepted, decisions are due to Ramaz on February 26th, 2024.

A complete application includes two recommendations from recent teachers, one General Studies and one Judaic studies. Middle School report cards/transcripts from the last 2 years must be requested to be sent to the Ramaz Admissions Office in advance of the deadlines.  An email will be sent directly to the applicant’s teachers and school administrator with the formal request and recommendation forms. Please see our Admissions Timeline and Application Checklist for deadlines.

Applicants for 9th grade are required to take the Yeshiva High School Placement Exam (The BJE's), comprised of the Judaic Studies JSAT level 8 exam. The General Studies component has been canceled this year. Instead, parents must request the latest standardized test scores from their child’s middle school be sent to the Ramaz Admissions Office as part of the transcripts/report cards. For our complete list of application requirements, please see our Admissions Timeline and Application Checklist.

We encourage families to learn about our many exciting programs and to contact the Admissions Office at milowitzs@ramaz.org and/or parkerj@ramaz.org with any questions.

A  complete application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Late applications will be reviewed on a space-available basis. Applications for transfer students into grade 10 are reviewed on a rolling basis after March 9, 2024.
