HINENI: HERE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Growing Life-long Learners

Child-centered imaginative play and rich, collaborative hand-on learning projects seamlessly integrate language arts, Hebrew language, math, science, Parashat HaShavua, Jewish rituals, and mitzvot. This approach helps nurture curiosity, cognitive growth, positive self-image, and Jewish identity, laying the foundation of the pursuit of knowledge and intellectual rigor.

Developing Critical Thinkers and Problem Solvers

Early Childhood students begin to explore the world around them through a Jewish lens and our American democratic values. They learn about real-world problems from their own neighborhood, using early design thinking to help solve them. They also are introduced to the power of Chesed and Menschlichkeit as they grow to be future Jewish and community leaders who will help repair our world.

Fostering Empathy and Resilience

Robust, child-centered social-emotional learning nurtures empathy, resilience, mindfulness, and readiness to learn. Using research-based techniques of Responsive Classroom, Second Step, and Character Strong, our students learn to compromise, problem-solve, ask for help, use appropriate language to express wants and needs, manage feelings, and form positive relationships.

Cultivating Ahavat Yisrael

We inspire students to develop a love of and commitment to the State and people of Israel through immersive experiences and authentic learning of Hebrew language, culture, and history.

Building Community and Spirituality

At Ramaz, students grow religiously, spiritually, and intellectually through Tefillah, Chagim, and traditions bound together by Modern Orthodox observance. Living by the Jewish calendar, we raise our students to love Torah and Am Yisrael, instilling in them the joy of learning and the pride in being Jewish.
