The Ramaz School is seeking a part-time music teacher for the 2024-2025 school year for the Early Childhood Center. We are seeking a warm and energetic Music Teacher for our school who has experience with preschool-aged children.
Key Responsibilities
- Introducing children ages 3-6 to string instruments and piano, and utilizes movement, singing,
- and improvisation to engage and grow their interest and musical skills.
- Developing music lesson plans in accordance with monthly curricular themes and
- developmentally appropriate activities.
- Meeting the individual's needs of the children/class.
- Interacting with the children to support music through play, exploration, and learning.
- Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level.
- Planning and implementing music activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
- Communicating appropriately and professionally with fellow staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Early Childhood Education or Music or related field
- Minimum of 1 year music experience in a licensed center or early childhood enrichment center
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong written and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Jewish holidays and Jewish songs
Compensation
Part-time salary will be prorated based on a full time annualized salary range of $60,000 - $70,000
commensurate with relevant experience and education.

EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER AND LOWER SCHOOL MUSIC TEACHER
The Ramaz School is seeking a warm, passionate, and collaborative music teacher for the Early Childhood Center and Lower School (grades N-4) for the 2025-2026 school year.
The ideal candidate for this position will:
• Foster a supportive learning environment for students to explore and express themselves musically
• Spark students’ individual curiosity and interest in music as they begin their journey of exploration, discovery, and skill-building

• Inspire and integrate a joyful approach to Judaism throughout the music program

Key Responsibilities
• Create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
• Lead classes that Instruct students on the building blocks of music and music theory, including rhythm, melody, pitch, movement/dance
• Conduct individual and group lessons for vocal and instrumental techniques, music notation, and harmony
• Prepare students for Jewish milestone performances, including Siddur and Chumash celebrations, and a fourth-grade Zimriyah (songfest).
• Oversee and lead rehearsals to prepare students for recitals, concerts, and competitions
• Maintain classroom management
• Collaborate with colleagues
• Coordinate music programs, performances, and school-wide events with other school staff
• Lead the Lower School choir.
Qualifications
• Experience and expertise as music teacher for elementary school students.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate developmental milestones and skills
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Play an instrument.
• Knowledge of Hebrew preferred.
Salary range is $70,000 - $80,000 a year plus excellent benefits commensurate with experience and education.

K-4 SCIENCE TEACHER

MIDDLE SCHOOL LEARNING SPECIALIST

The Ramaz Middle School is looking for a Learning Specialist for grades 5-8 for the 2025-2026 academic year. Part-time or full-time is available. Qualified candidates will have teaching experience and a relevant degree.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic support in 1:1 or small group settings to students with diagnosed learning disabilities and/or ADHD and executive functioning deficits
- Conversant with multi-sensory programs and approaches to reading remediation
- Implement extended time and special accommodations for Learning Center students as needed
- Communicate about Learning Center students throughout the year with parents, outside professionals, administration and school psychologist as needed
- Conference regularly with teachers regarding Learning Center students’ progress
- Attend grade wide weekly team meetings about students
- Participate in Board of Education phone conferences
- Participate in parent teacher conferences
- Complete behavior rating scales and Board of Education teacher progress reports for LC students as needed
- Participate in weekly LC meetings
- Prepare student progress reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in special education or related field

UPPER SCHOOL
UPPER SCHOOL FRENCH TEACHER
The Ramaz School seeks an experienced, dynamic and passionate US French teacher for a full-time position starting immediately.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in French or Language Education is required. French Master’s degree preferred.
• Native or near-native fluency in French as well as fluency in English, are expected.
• Experience teaching various levels of French from novice to advanced.
• An understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in community life is essential.
• Responsibilities include attending faculty meetings and Professional Development.
• Ability to use technology effectively in the teaching and learning process, e.g., Zoom.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
