The Ramaz School has an opening for an experienced Middle School Hebrew Teacher beginning September, 2025.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Teaching Hebrew Language and Literature in grades 5-8

The Ramaz Upper School, a Modern Orthodox Yeshiva day school, is looking for a full-time teacher for Hebrew Language and Literature for the upcoming school year. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about sharing skills and expertise in the Hebrew language and Israeli culture, and who will share a love for Medinat Yisrael.

Candidates must have a work permit. 

Candidates should have:

1. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and teaching credentials from an accredited institution (North America or Israel) is preferred.

The Ramaz Upper School is looking for a Judaic Studies teacher to teach Tanakh full time (Possibility for some Jewish philosophy as well). The candidate will be a teacher with a strong knowledge of Torah and pedagogical skills who is passionate about inspiring high school students towards a deeper connection with Torah and Judaism. 

Beginner teachers are offered support and mentoring. We are interested in new teachers as well as experienced teachers and can offer growth opportunities for educators who are looking to advance their careers.

Full-time members of the Judaic Studies department are expected to attend daily tefilah (3-4 times per week) and to serve as religious role models for the students. Teachers should attend one of the Shabbatonim and should participate in the informal, religiously focused programming.

The Ramaz Upper School seeks a dynamic teacher to join our Math and History departments. This position reports to the Math Department Chair.

Responsibilities

•       Teach 12^th grade AP Statistics and other math courses across grades 9 through 12

•       Teach AP Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, if needed

•       Collaborate on curriculum design, assessments, and teaching methods

•       Provide high-quality, consistent instruction and mentoring to students

•       Communicate thoughtfully with parents and guardians

•       Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the school, including attending meetings, covering assigned duties, and participating in school-related activities during the school day or after school hours

Qualifications

•       Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field required

•       Master’s degree in Mathematics preferred

Position Summary

The Ramaz Upper School is seeking a skilled, passionate educator to join the Technology, Engineering, and Computer Science Department for the 2026–2027 school year. We are open to candidates with backgrounds across the full spectrum of our department, including computer science, engineering, design, fabrication, mathematics, and educational technology, with teaching responsibilities aligned with departmental needs and relevant areas of expertise.  The department offers a range of courses for students in grades 9 through 12, including engineering, design, coding, AP Computer Science A, Machine Learning, and senior capstone projects. The department also includes a makerspace that supports hands-on learning and fabrication.

The ideal candidate brings expertise in one or more of these areas, along with a genuine enthusiasm for hands-on, student-centered learning. This position offers the opportunity to teach, collaborate on curriculum development, and support innovative programming that helps students think creatively, solve problems, and engage meaningfully with technology and design.

Objectives

·       Support a dynamic, student-centered program in technology, engineering, computer science, design, and related disciplines.

·       Foster creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning among students in grades 9 through 12.

·       Contribute to the continued growth of curricular offerings in coding, engineering, design, fabrication, and related areas.

·       Collaborate with colleagues to deliver engaging, rigorous, and developmentally appropriate instruction.

·       Help maintain a learning environment that encourages innovation, experimentation, and thoughtful use of technology.

Responsibilities Include

·       Teach courses in technology, engineering, computer science, design, mathematics, and/or educational technology for students in grades 9 through 12, based on departmental needs and relevant areas of expertise.

·       Develop and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction for students in grades 9 through 12.

·       Collaborate on curriculum design, assessments, and instructional planning.

·       Support project-based learning, design challenges, and other hands-on classroom experiences.

·       Support students in developing technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

·       Teach or support courses such as engineering, design, coding, AP Computer Science A, Machine Learning, and senior capstone projects, as assigned.

·       Contribute to the growth and maintenance of makerspace, fabrication, and design-based programming, as applicable.

·       Support hands-on learning in a makerspace environment, including the use of tools and equipment such as 3D printers, CNC routers, and laser cutters, as applicable.

·       Help maintain classroom and makerspace equipment, materials, and safety procedures, as applicable.

·       Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and department initiatives.

·       Provide support for faculty use of educational technology and digital tools, where applicable.

·       Communicate thoughtfully with students, families, and colleagues.

·       Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the school, including attending meetings, covering assigned duties, and participating in school-related activities during the school day or after school hours.

Skills and Competencies

·       Strong instructional skills and the ability to engage high school students in meaningful learning.

·       Ability to teach and support students in one or more areas such as computer science, engineering, design, fabrication, mathematics, or educational technology.

·       Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar languages preferred.

·       Familiarity with Arduino, robotics, embedded systems, and/or AP Computer Science instruction preferred.

·       Experience with web or mobile application development preferred.

·       Knowledge of graphic design, visual communication, industrial design, and/or 3D design preferred.

·       Familiarity with design thinking and human-centered design processes preferred.

·       Experience with 3D printing, CNC routing, laser cutting, makerspace management, and safety preferred.

·       Ability to support hands-on, project-based learning.

·       Familiarity with faculty coaching, professional development, and educational technology integration preferred.

·       Experience with Learning Management Systems, Student Information Systems, and digital assessment platforms preferred.

·       Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

·       Flexibility, creativity, and comfort working across disciplines.

·       Commitment to fostering curiosity, innovation, and thoughtful use of technology.

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in education, computer science, design, engineering, mathematics, or a related field required.

·       At least three years of teaching or relevant professional experience required.

·       Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit.

·       Genuine enthusiasm for helping students use technology creatively and meaningfully.

·       Master’s degree preferred.

·       Experience in more than one of the areas listed above preferred.

·       Comfort working across disciplines and adapting to evolving curricular needs.

The Ramaz School seeks an experienced, dynamic, and passionate part-time Upper School Spanish teacher. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of teaching experience in High School. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or Language Education is required. Spanish Master’s degree preferred.
• Native or near-native fluency in Spanish as well as fluency in English, are expected.
• Experience teaching various levels of Spanish from novice to advanced.
• An understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in community life is essential.
• Responsibilities include attending faculty meetings and Professional Development.
• Ability to use technology effectively in the teaching and learning process, e.g., Zoom.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. 

Part time salary based on full time annualized salary of $60,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with relevant experience and education).
