ECC INSTRUCTIONAL COACH
Ramaz’s Early Childhood Center is looking for a passionate, dynamic, forward thinking educator to join our team. Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Provide hands on instructional support coaching educators in and out of the classroom environment
- Guiding practice within an age-appropriate emergent curriculum incorporating the development of skills for math, science, literacy, and social/emotional functioning
- Modeling best practice in instruction as it relates to classroom expectations, time management, use of language and materials in a responsive classroom
- Lead teaching teams in the areas of planning, instruction and classroom management including the review of lessons plans and implementation of curricular goals
- Collaborate closely with supervisors
- Be a consumer of research and generate ideas rooted in best practice in early childhood education
- Provide ongoing feedback to teaching teams within the framework of a growth mindset

ECC PER DIEM SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
We have an immediate need for a Per Diem Substitute Teacher in Ramaz’s Early Childhood Center, located in Manhattan, NY. This is an as-needed position and you will be placed in a classroom that is in need of a teacher for the day. The school year is consistent with the Jewish calendar and the school is closed during the summer.
Position Summary:
In a classroom environment the Per Diem Substitute Teacher will support the absentee teachers team and plans while supervising the classroom with a high level of care and educational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the lead teacher and reviewing plans
- Adaptability to provide coverage to multiple classrooms, as needed
- Willingness to work with a fluid schedule within a given day
- Preparing and understanding objectives of the daily plans
- Innovating ideas to make learning enjoyable and interactive
- Tending to all class responsibilities to complete scheduled targets in the teacher's absence

LS 1ST GRADE, LEAVE REPLACEMENT GENERAL STUDIES TEACHER
The Ramaz Lower School is seeking a 1st Grade, Leave Replacement General Studies Teacher; January-June 2023.
Preference will be given to teachers with 1-3 years of experience and a Masters Degree in Elementary or Special Education. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an energetic faculty embracing current best practices including Fundations, Singapore Math, and Responsive Classroom. You will become part of a collaborative grade-level team and work with coaches in literacy and math.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
- Partner with schoolwide leadership team members, finance, operations, institutional advancement, and communications to meet the school’s strategic objectives.
- Partner with the Head of School and Chief Financial Officer on all budgetary matters and specifically to identify, prioritize, and manage major educational objectives of the Upper School.
- Partner with the Head of School and admissions team in robust recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities.
- Lead an educational administrative team that is representative of faculty needs in General and Judaic Studies, Judaic leadership and student life. Work closely with this team to set policy in a collaborative manner, and in partnership with the upper school community.
- Conduct weekly and other regularly scheduled meetings with all direct reports to ensure that priorities are clear, and coordination is sound.
- Set priorities and supervise college and Israel guidance teams, learning center, and athletics coaching staff.
- Work closely with the school psychologists to prioritize the continued development of programs that help meet the mental health needs of the students, including but not limited to, advisory and grade deans. Help ensure multiple opportunities for students to actively participate in activities outside the classroom that enable them to balance rigorous academic demands with social-emotional needs.
- Foster, maintain, and manage relationships with key stakeholders – faculty, staff, students, and parents – and continue to build relationships with alumni parents and alumni.
- Strengthen a culture of school pride and partnership with faculty, students, and parents.
- Be a visible presence and participant at recruitment and retention events, build relationships with feeder schools and communities as identified through market research.
- Oversee and ensure robust co-curricular programs and athletics through direct reports.
- Be a regular attendee at athletic games, performances etc.
- Perform other reasonable responsibilities and duties as directed by The Head of School.

UPPER SCHOOL SPANISH TEACHER
The Ramaz School seeks an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Spanish educator to teach at the Upper School. This is a full-time position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or Language Education is required. Spanish Master’s degree preferred. - Three or more years of experience teaching in Upper School preferred.
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish as well as fluency in English, are expected.
- Experience teaching various levels of Spanish from novice to advanced.
- An understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in community life is essential.
- Responsibilities include attending faculty meetings and Professional Development.
- Ability to use technology effectively in the teaching and learning process, e.g., Zoom.
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation
Full time annualized salary of $60,000 - $90,000 (commensurate with relevant experience and education).
