Early Childhood Center Home Lower School Home Middle School Home Upper School Home

Located on the sixth floor of the Lower School, the library offers children in the Early Childhood Center a nurturing environment where they can choose books and listen to stories. Parents are welcome to visit the library before and after school hours to choose books and to discuss their children's interests with the librarians.

The library collection consists of more than 10,000 items.


Books:
  • Picture books and fiction in all genres of children's literature
  • Reference books in Hebrew and English
  • Sifrei kodesh and important Jewish reference books
  • Non-fiction which supports and enhances the curriculum
Periodicals and Newspapers:
  • 20+ current periodical and newspaper subscriptions
Videos:
  • 120+ videocassettes in subjects which support the curriculum
  • State of the art video equipment
  • Video collection accessible via the Ramaz online catalog

COMPUTER ACCESS
  • Online access to the Lower School collection and Ramaz combined collection
  • Internet access and the current Windows environment
  • A sophisticated filtering system to guide students in the use of the World Wide Web.

STAFF
A professional librarian and an associate librarian who:
  • help students choose books for reading pleasure
  • supervise the weekly scheduled library visit of each class
  • discuss library conduct, procedures and care of books
  • read aloud to all classes, in order to expose the children to different literary genres
HOURS

Monday - Thursday:    8:15am - 5:00pm
Friday:                       8:15am - 1:30pm
