FINANCIAL AID
The tuition and fee schedule is designed to meet the expenses
of the teaching personnel and the educational programs. At times
the tuition exceeds parents' financial resources and for that
reason we encourage parents to discuss their situation with
the Financial Aid Officer. Ramaz School awards a significant
number of grants based on financial need. We view those grants
as an entitlement and not as charity. This reflects our commitment
to educate Jewish children.
Admission decisions are purely need blind and financial aid
decisions are need based. Families interested in assistance
must file a Ramaz Application for Financial Aid.
The FACTS Grant and Financial Aid Application is used in conjunction with the Ramaz Application for Financial Aid. Each family must complete both applications.
Ramaz requires that a copy of the family's two most recent IRS 1040 forms, including all supportive schedules, be forwarded to the school including all supportive schedules.
Financial Aid is granted on an annual basis. Applications must
be submitted by January 31. If all required 2008 tax information is not complete by this date, please send the applications and any available supporting documentation by January 31. Completed tax returns or other materials should be forwarded as they become available.
Applications
are routinely provided to families currently receiving assistance.
Families applying for the first time may obtain an application
by contacting the Financial Office.
The Financial Aid Program is overseen by the School's Financial
Aid Committee. All applications and financial information are
handled confidentially and with menschlichkeit.
