MIDDLE SCHOOL: Fifth Grade - Eighth Grade
Parents interested in applying should call the Admissions office to arrange an appointment and schedule an individual tour with the Assistant Director of Admissions.
Applicants to the Middle School are evaluated in order to assess their learning style and academic abilities. Parents must provide the Admissions Office with report cards from their child's previous school and teacher recommendations. Interviews with both the Judaic and General Studies Headmasters are required.
Applications should be completed and submitted online along with a non-refundable application fee of $175 by December 5, 2011. All applications are reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Ramaz offers admission without regard to financial need.
UPPER SCHOOL: Ninth Grade - Twelfth Grade
The Upper School is hosting an Open House on Sunday, October 30 at 9:00AM for interested parents and their children. Parlor meetings also are held in communities to provide information about the Upper School in a more intimate setting.
Upper School applicants also must take the Jewish Education Projects's High School Placement Exam (BJE) in November. Applicants are required to have personal interviews both in Judaic and General Studies and to submit Hebrew and English writing samples, elementary school academic records, and teacher recommendations. The Ramaz School subscribes to the timetable of the Jewish Education Project (formerly the Board of Jewish Education of Greater New York) for notification of ninth grade acceptance.
