While easy to use, "googling" is not necessarily the ideal method for accurate research. Results may include misinformation, inaccuracies, or bias. Lower School Librarian, Haviva Donin Peters, and EducationTechnology Specialist, Monica Brandwein, have joined together to guide third grade students to more reliable resources as third graders begin a country research project. The focus has been on databases to which Ramaz subscribes which contain up-to-date and reliable information. The introduction began with researching India, a country they are very familiar with from their in-depth class study earlier in the year. Students then were assigned to research France, the native country of Jacques Cousteau, the subject of this year's Book Day. The students will use the skills they acquired for their reports on Peru and Japan.
